Introduction
The Singapore Global Restructuring Initiative (SGRI) is a project launched by the Singapore Management University with the support of the Ministry of Law that seeks to promote cutting-edge research on restructuring and corporate insolvency law while promoting cooperation between academics, practitioners, judges and policymakers from all over the world.
In order to promote these goals, the SGRI will carry out a variety of activities including:
Conducting interdisciplinary research on corporate insolvency law
Promoting cooperation between academics, practitioners, judges and policymakers
Providing updates on insolvency cases, reforms, and academic research in insolvency law
Organising academic events with a global, comparative, policy-oriented and industry-relevant focus
Working closely with associations of insolvency practitioners and turnaround specialists from all over the world
Teaming up with other academic institutions to promote research on corporate insolvency
Contributing to the policy debate in corporate insolvency law in Asia and beyond
Engaging in international dialogues and policy discussions involving initiatives and legal reforms in the field of corporate insolvency and restructuring law
