Emeritus Professor Kon Sik Kim

Kon Sik Kim is Professor of Law Emeritus at Seoul National University (SNU) and a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute. A graduate of the SNU College of Law, he received his LL.M. from Harvard, and a J.D. and a Ph.D. from University of Washington. Specializing in corporate and securities law, he taught at SNU from 1986 to 2020 and served as inaugural dean of the SNU School of Law. At home and abroad, he published numerous books and articles, which include leading treatises on Korea’s capital market law and corporate law. He has taught at such foreign universities as Harvard, NYU, The University of Tokyo and National University of Singapore as visiting professor.
